Border Collie Bits - A sudden change in food can upset the delicate balance of normal bacteria in your dog's intestine. Therefore you'll need to slowly introduce new foods to prevent intestinal upsets. Start with a mix of 10% of the new food and 90% of old and, each day, increase the new food by 10%. After 10 days your pup will be wholly on its new food. If at any time your pup has loose stools or constipation, slow the rate at which you are adding the new food. If bowel problems continue, speak to your vet and ask them to recommend a new diet.
